UK Supplement Brand Up 60 Search Positions Mid-Project

West Midlands-based content and SEO consultancy ZenithSpark has delivered significant mid-project ranking gains for wellness supplement brand AwaikenU, with independent third-party tracking recording a rise of over 60 positions for ‘perimenopause vitamins’ and more than 30 positions for ‘perimenopause supplements’ — before the full-site content overhaul was even complete.

STOURBRIDGE, WEST MIDLANDS – April 2026
ZenithSpark, a content and SEO strategy consultancy based in the West Midlands, has published results from a full-site content and SEO project for AwaikenU, an independent UK wellness supplement brand. The engagement, completed in Q1 2026, covered eight product collection pages, a site-wide URL restructure, compliant health-claim copywriting and optimised metadata across AwaikenU’s entire supplement range.

The results, recorded by independent third-party tracking software before the project had concluded, point to the speed at which targeted, compliance-aware content strategy can move the needle in even heavily contested wellness categories. Rankings for the term ‘perimenopause vitamins’ improved by more than 60 positions. ‘Perimenopause supplements’ rose by at least 30. Both movements occurred while work was still ongoing.

  • 60+ positions gained for ‘perimenopause vitamins’ – mid-project
  • 30+ positions gained for ‘perimenopause supplements’ – mid-project
  • 8 collection pages rewritten with compliant, keyword-targeted copy

Why Health Supplement SEO Demands a Different Approach

The UK food supplement market presents content and SEO practitioners with a challenge most digital agencies are not equipped to navigate. Under retained EU Regulation 1924/2006 and MHRA guidance, supplement brands may only make health claims that are authorised, substantiated and tied to a specific named nutrient, not to the product itself. Generic statements of efficacy, the stock-in-trade of much wellness content, risk reclassifying a product as a medicinal device, with potentially severe commercial and regulatory consequences.

For ZenithSpark, understanding this landscape is foundational rather than incidental. The AwaikenU project was structured from day one around the boundary between food supplement claims and medicinal claims, ensuring that every line of copy across the collection pages operated within authorised language whilst remaining commercially useful for search.

“Most supplement brands are making health claims that carry real regulatory risk. Our job was to find the copy that was both compliant and competitive — and to show that those two things are not in conflict.”

The Scope of Work

Prior to beginning the content project, ZenithSpark conducted a full site audit of awaikenu.co.uk, identifying 63 SEO issues across 38 crawled pages. Critical findings included 17 pages with low word counts, 6 pages with poorly formatted URLs, 5 pages missing H1 headings, and 2 pages with duplicate meta descriptions, all rated as high-impact issues. The site recorded an on-page SEO score of 70, with strong desktop performance (1.36 second load time) but a mobile load time of 9.36 seconds flagged as a priority concern.

ZenithSpark’s content strategy then addressed the collection page tier in full, delivering:

  • Eight fully rewritten collection pages targeting distinct search intents across collagen supplements, vitamin gummies for adults, joint supplements, sleep supplements, perimenopause and menopause supplements, vegan supplements, vitamins and minerals, and apple cider vinegar.
  • New URL slugs across all eight collections, correcting the poorly formatted URLs identified in audit (e.g. /collections/gummies rewritten as /collections/vitamin-gummies-adults).
  • Meta titles and descriptions written to confirmed character limits, eliminating duplicate metadata across the site.
  • Authorised health claim language integrated throughout. This covered magnesium, vitamin D3, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin K2 and zinc, without crossing into medicinal claim territory.
  • FAQ sections on high-priority pages targeting informational search queries in the perimenopause, collagen and sleep categories.
  • Keyword gap analysis cross-referenced against existing published content to avoid cannibalisation and prioritise attainable terms given the brand’s current domain authority.

A Replicable Model for Regulated Categories

ZenithSpark positions the AwaikenU engagement as a demonstration of a broader methodology applicable across other regulated consumer health categories, including medical devices, functional foods, cosmetics and sports nutrition, where the gap between legally permissible claims and commercially effective copy is frequently misunderstood.

The consultancy argues that compliance and SEO performance are not competing priorities. Precise, authorised language, applied consistently and with a clear understanding of search intent, can outperform promotional copy that overstates efficacy and risks regulatory intervention.

ZenithSpark offers content strategy, SEO copywriting and site auditing for brands operating in regulated sectors. The consultancy works with clients across the UK on collection and product page copy, keyword research, metadata and brand voice development.
